Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Commit your works to the Lord, and you thoughts will be established.

Proverbs 16:3 NKJV

Keep YOUR MIND and YOUR MOUTH quiet so GOD can speak to you and establish your thoughts.

Meyer, Joyce (2010). Hearing From GOD each morning. p.176

For someone like me, you mys-well just go a head, and glue my mouth shut, for me to accomplish this. I want to do this and be disciplined and mature. So If I want to, then I have a motive to actually try to do this. You can too! Remember the saying, “you have two ears and one mouth.”  We are supposed to listen more than we speak!  (uhhhh)

If God formed us in His image, that means the design of our body especially our head, (brain, face, mouth, ears, eyes and nose) was designed with purpose. Right? Are you with me?  Yes, we all know this. If you are like me- bless you; we need a visual from time to time. Here is a daily reminder!

DON’T TALK SO MUCH!

Thank goodness that God has more than one “ear!”…. HE is ALL EARS 🙂

My prayer for us today, is to really focus on the words that come out of our mouth. I promise you, that your head will not pop off- as it feels it could.

P.S. A little hint how the words get to your mouth:  What goes in your head, goes to your heart and comes out your mouth. That is why is it is so important to keep a gate for your thoughts that enter in. Ask God, to help you edit your thoughts prior to sinking in. He is the best, and waiting on us to ask.

Lord, I pray that with your strength, we can begin the daily practice of this discipline. Thank you for reminding me that I can do all things through you, who strengthens me! Remind me, not to lean on my own understanding (of thoughts) and to allow you to edit, one by one, from fact or fiction- THE TRUTH.

In Jesus Christ’s Name,

AMEN
